A native of Melbourne, Australia, Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television at Deakin University in 2009.

In 2014, Jessica moved from Australia to Canada to pursue her Master of Arts in Theological Studies at Regent College in Vancouver, B.C. Her interest in filmmaking was encouraged by Regent Professor and BBC veteran Iwan Russell-Jones, who, in 2015, asked her to edit his feature-length documentary, Making Peace with Creation. While hard at work on her graduate studies, Jessica began researching for this film alongside Joshua Harris and, as sole producer, led a team of volunteers through its creation.

I Survived I Kissed Dating Goodbye served as her Master's thesis project under the advisement of Prof. Russell-Jones, and as her directorial debut. With her master's degree completed, Jessica looks forward to creating more documentaries through her Australia-based production company, DOCSology.
